Budgeted balance sheet of the harvest 2012

After a quite severe Winter and Spring causing frost, the number of buds has been reduced, the flower came also out with some difficulties end May/beginning June during a quite rainy period.

These difficult weather conditions caused a natural reduction of the grapes in the vineyards. We do expect a small crop for 2012.

The weather instability together with the important temperature variations caused mildew pressure who reinforced the potential loss of crop.

Today, the sanitary conditions are controlled without any worrying spoiling effect on the quality of the harvest but we already know that we will have a small production.

We hope that the Summer period will be more clement in order to bring the remaining grapes to a good maturity.

The crop being small, the possibility to produce good wines is absolutely not removed, on the contrary, small quantities give us the possibility to produce excellent wines.
