“Saint Vincent Tournante” 2012

One more! , a new Saint Vincent crossed. If winter does not appear to remind us that time goes by, the Saint Vincent, traditional event of the beginning of the year in Burgundy, was here to remind it to us. Since 1938, each year, a wine village of Burgundy, receives the party of the Saint-Vincent Tournante and welcomes the gathering of all the brotherhoods or societies of mutual help of Burgundy. The 2012 edition was of a quite other nature. This traditional Burgundian party took this year a particular form to join in the approach of application of Burgundy Climates at the heritage of the UNESCO. So, there was three symbolic places of the Burgundian landscape which offered to make discover this Saint-Vincent Tournante :

• Dijon, Burgundy’s capital
• Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the heart of  Côte d’Or
• Beaune, Capital of Burgundy wines

With this  exceptional Saint-Vincent Tournante , Burgundy finds in its climates the identity, the innovation which characterize our region. For tasting, each of the 5 wine-producing regions were put in the honor on dedicated detached houses in each city : Chablisien and Grand Auxerrois, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise and Mâconnais. The regional appellation and the Burgundy Cremants also had detached houses. For discovery, cities posted varied faces : Patrimonial circuits and opening of chapels in Beaune, pierres of Comblanchien and Cave aux Arômes in Nuits Saint-Georges, multiple animations  in Dijon (Read the article of  Wine & Y ). Movie of the animations in Dijon.  In Beaune, if the atmosphere seemed to miss a little in the streets, in every detached houses, we could meet amateurs, professionals, novices,… The organisation without defect of the event drove then to a quite natural user-friendliness on each site of this beautiful city.
