We’re quite pleased with the latest tasting notes from Jancis Robinson MW (http://www.jancisrobinson.com) on some of our great wines in the 2006 vintage. I let you discover them in a short summary.
Albert Bichot, Domaine du Pavillon, Corton Grand Cru «Clos des Maréchaudes » (monopole) : 15.5/20 « Convincing deep crimson. Real life here on the nose. Some concentration. Just a hint of coffee. »
Albert Bichot, Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru “Lavaux-St-Jacques” 2006 : 16/20 “Pure nose with some vitality although quite developed on the nose. Smooth and easy, cherry juice.”
Albert Bichot, Domaine du Clos Frantin, Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2006 : 16.5/20 « Dark ruby. Life and energy here. Real interest on the nose. Lovely sweet spread across the palate with just a hint of coffee but transparent and fluid »
Albert Bichot, Domaine du Clos Frantin, Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru « Les Malconsorts » : 16.5/20 « Very substantial. Sweet start and very punchy. A little dry on the end so not the most luscious but it should not disappoint anyone”.
Albert Bichot, Domaine du Clos Frantin, Echezeaux Grand Cru 2006 : 16 /20 « Bright crimson. Jammy nose. Sweet and not very appetising… there is life here.”
